I hate losing stuff! I lost my favorite bracelet once. I put it in a very safe place. Then I forgot where the safe place was! I finally found it two months later—when I was cleaning out my sock drawer.

We lost our dog, Cosmo, once when we were hiking by the lake. Luckily, we found him. Unluckily, it was right after he found a dead fish to roll in!

Mom was pretty mad. Isabel and I thought it was funny—until we had to share the backseat with him on the car ride home. P-U!

Yeah, he was really smelly. Not as bad as the time he chased a skunk. But worse than the time he rolled in some rotten garbage.

Ike Howard
We’ve known each other since we were babies. No lie! We were in a playgroup together, and we’ve been best friends ever since.
Drawing, painting, cartooning. I’m also good at losing things.
Playing piano. I play keyboard in a band Wyatt, Anna, Max, and I put together.

Friend and next-door neighbor.
Building stuff. (Good thing our family owns a hardware store!)
My collections. Right now I’m collecting trading cards, baseball caps, mini cars, and refrigerator magnets. Nothing too big! Got to save room in my room for me.

Friend. In Ms. Talbot’s class at Woodrow Wilson School, same as Wyatt and Ike.
Student president of our school. I help organize bake sales, the talent show, potluck dinners, our two book fairs. I like to keep busy!
Traveling. I want to visit every state in the USA. I’ve already been to 17!
